Although the team was embraced in Philadelphia, the USFL's plan to move to a fall schedule led the team to move rather than compete with the Eagles. The team was renamed the Baltimore Stars, but played at the University of Maryland. Despite a difficult travel situation, the team won a championship in it's final season before the league folded.
