1951 JGA 11 (JGA-11) 'Osato Gangu Game Set' Japanese Baseball Menko Card Shosei Go 吳昌征 Mainichi Orions2-Way HOFer Taiwan born Japanese Baseball Hall of Famer These Attractive B&W Japanese Menko Game Cards were made in 1951. This set is Catalogued as JGA 11 in the Japanese Baseball Card Catalog. They came in a brightly colored box with instruction sheet. 3 players (Fujimura, Kawakami, Nishizawa) have 2 variations, with position, or with the circle blank. Some cards have been found with blank backs. These cards are fairly Scarce overall. Shosei Go 吳昌征 Go was a two-way Hall of Fame Player from Japanese occupied Taiwan. He played from 1937-1957 for the Giants, Tigers and Orions. Nicknamed the ‘Human Locomotive’ because of his speed. He had a career average of .272 with 381 stolen bases, and was MVP in 1943. As a pitcher, the bulk of his appearances were in 1946, when he went 14-6 with a 3.03 ERA and 16 complete games.
