Doigaki (19) looks to have picked up the bat, Shosei Go (23) looks to be the next batter, and Kaneda (7) was probably on the bases. This Postcard sized Real Photograph B&W Baseball Bromide Card was made in c1947-1949, or maybe even earlier, when the 4 players played together. This Premium Prize size card/set is Uncatalogued in the Japanese Baseball Card Catalog. They are Very Rare overall. When Catalogued this Larger Premium Prize Cards would probably be ranked about R5, meaning est. under 5 of ea. card known. Takeshi Doigaki 土井垣武Doigaki played Catcher, 1st Base, and 3rd Base from 1940-1957. A 'should be HOFer', a longtime Catcher who batted .283. Shosei Go 吳昌征 Go was a two-way Hall of Fame Player from Japanese occupied Taiwan. He played from 1937-1957 for the Giants, Tigers and Orions. Nicknamed the ‘Human Locomotive’ because of his speed. He had a career average of .272 with 381 stolen bases, and was MVP in 1943. As a pitcher, the bulk of his appearances were in 1946, when he went 14-6 with a 3.03 ERA and 16 complete games. Go also threw the 1st PostWar No-Hitter, against the Tokyo Senators in 1946. Fumio Fujimura 藤村 富美男is in the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame Fumio was a two-way player from 1936-1958 34-11 record pitching, and hit 224 HRs A superstitious player, Fujimura never hurt insects or shaved before games, Known as hot-tempered, as he was once suspended for physically abusing an umpire. In 1950, Fujimura set the single-season record with 191 base hits. This record remained unbroken for 44 years, until Ichiro Suzuki surpassed it in 1994. Masayasu Kaneda 金田正泰 played from 1942-1957 all with the Tigers, first with Hanshin during WWII, then with Osaka postWar. In 6 different seasons Kaneda batted .300+ Real Photograph nice slight edge chipping collector grade.
